Lockdown extensions Effectively Devastating, says Anand Mahindra

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on Monday stated lockdown extensions aren’t only economically devastating but also create a different medical emergency.

While acknowledging that alternatives aren’t simple for policy makers, ” he stated a lockdown expansion won’t help.

“Lockdown extensions are not just economically devastating, as I’d tweeted previously, but also make another medical emergency,” Mahindra stated in a tweet.

He was speaking to a post that emphasized”the harmful psychological ramifications of lockdowns and also the enormous threat of failing non-COVID sufferers”.
