Adhering to the Central government’s amendments to the General Financial Rules (GFR), the Delhi government has requested all of its branches not to issue global tenders around Rs 200 crore.
Within an arrangement, the Delhi Finance Department offered the Central government’s modification for”information and necessary actions”.
Last week, the Union Finance Department informed the alterations to the General Financial Rules, 2017 to make sure that henceforth global tenders will be disallowed in government paychecks to Rs 200 crore, as declared in the’Aatma Nirbhar Bharat’ Package.

According to the Centre, it was a large boost to national providers, particularly MSMEs.
Speaking to IANS, a Delhi government officer stated the Finance Department has requested all Delhi government divisions, both municipal companies, autonomous bodies beneath the city authorities, the NDMC, the Urban Shelter Board, the Delhi CantonmentBoard and other people to embrace the Centre’s amended General Financial Rules (GFR).
“Each of the bodies and branches are requested to pay attention to this change,” the official stated.
