Amitabh Bachchan’s parenting tip to Varun Dhawan is too good; know what is it – Times of India

Dad Varun Dhawan has received the best parenting tip ever from Bollywood’s Shehenshah Amitabh Bachchan. Varun welcomed a baby daughter with wife Natasha Dalal on June 3 this year.

In the show, the new dad bonded with Amitabh Bachchan over parenthood and the traditions that are followed. He spoke about the significance of this year’s Diwali for him as he prays to the God for blessing him with fatherhood. He also said he affectionately calls his daughter Goddess Lakshmi.

Amitabh Bachchan’s parenting tip for Varun

During the conversation, Amitabh Bachchan gave a wonderful tip to Varun. Remembering his early parenthood days, he gave one of the most beautiful parenting tips of all the time: Keep your wife happy.
Early parenthood requires supporting and keeping the wife happy. It creates a good environment for the whole family to thrive. Life with a newborn is not easy as it brings sleepless nights, hormonal changes, and the stress of new responsibilities. If the wife is valued and supported, her transition into motherhood gets easier, as she gains mental and emotional strength. A happy and supported mother is likely to take better care of the baby because she will be emotionally available, less stressed, and not at risk of burnout.
Keeping the wife happy further strengthens the bond between husband and wife since at this point in time, it will face strain due to several changes. Meeting her needs, sharing responsibilities, and providing emotional support demonstrates appreciation of efforts and sacrifices she makes. It leads to mutual support and understanding for creating a nurturing environment that benefits both parents by encouraging teamwork and making parenting easier.

In return, this has a positive influence on the baby’s growth due to infants growing more readily in loving, stress-free surroundings. Happy parenthood is just a good strong base for the family-a basis from which both of its members can feel valuable and close, ready to be great parents with good harmony and love.

Here’s how you can support your wife during early days of motherhood:

  • Take on daily tasks like diaper changes, feeding prep, and household chores. Relieving her of small responsibilities gives her time to rest and adjust to new motherhood.
  • New moms often struggle to rest. Encourage her to nap when the baby sleeps or take short breaks. This helps prevent burnout and keeps her energy up.
  • She may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotional. Listen to her without judgment and acknowledge her feelings. Letting her talk openly helps her feel supported and understood.
  • If possible, share night shifts for feeding or comforting the baby. Taking turns allows her to get uninterrupted sleep, which is vital for her physical and mental recovery.
  • The early days can be chaotic. Be patient with her and yourself. Show understanding when routines aren’t perfect, as adjusting to parenthood is a gradual process for both of you.
  • Recognize her efforts, resilience, and growth as a new mom. Compliments and encouragement make her feel valued and remind her of the amazing work she’s doing.
  • Find small moments to reconnect, even if it’s just watching a show or having a cup of tea together. This keeps your bond strong and reminds her that you’re in this journey together.
  • Encourage her to spend a few minutes each day on self-care, whether it’s a shower, a walk, or a hobby. This helps her recharge and maintain her sense of self.
  • Read up on baby care and parenting tips. Being informed helps you actively participate and shows that you’re invested in learning, which boosts her confidence in your shared parenting journey.
  • Offer reassurance that she’s not in this alone. Remind her you’re a team, ready to face parenting challenges together, and that it’s okay to lean on each other every step of the way.
