Indian Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra took everyone by surprise on the evening of January 19 when he shared his wedding pictures on social media and announced that he is now married. The ace javelin thrower Neeraj, 27, married Himari Mor in a private ceremony recently which was held in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. Their intimate wedding was attended by close friends and family members, as per reports.
Sharing pictures from their dreamy wedding, Neeraj Chopra wrote in his post, “Started a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”
Who is Neeraj Chopra’s wife Himani Mor?
Reports suggest that just like javelin star Neeraj Chopra, his life partner too is inclined towards sports. According to a report by Sportstar, Himani Mor belongs to Larsauli in Haryana, however she is currently studying and working in the USA. She did her schooling from Little Angels School, Sonipat and later pursued her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Physical Education from Miranda House, Delhi. She then moved to the USA where she studied at Southeastern Louisiana University. Currently she is pursuing a Master’s in Science in sports management and administration from McCormack Isenberg School of Management.
Apart from academics, she is also inclined towards sports as a tennis player. The All India Tennis Association’s (AITA) website states that in 2018, Himani’s carrer best national ranking was 42 in singles while it was 27 in doubles. Himani has also worked at Franklin Pierce University as a part-time assistant coach. She now works as a graduate assistant at Amherst College, where she manages the women’s tennis team.
Her brother, Himanshu Mor, also played tennis, reports suggest.

Confirming Neeraj Chopra and Himani Mor’s hush-hush wedding, Neeraj’s uncle Bhim told PTI, “Yes, the marriage took place in India two days back.”
Talking about Himani, Bhim further said, “The girl is from Sonipat and she is studying in the US.” Sharing details about the newly-wed couple, he added, “They have left the country for honeymoon and I am not aware of the places where they are going. We wanted to keep it like that.”
Reports suggest that the couple is currently travelling to the US and they’ll hold a grand reception in India once they’re back.
For the unversed, Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to ever win an individual gold medal in a track and field event at the Olympics in 2021– which catapulted him to global fame. In the Paris Olympics 2024, Neeraj won a silver medal– his second Olympic medal.
