Love beaches or mountains? THIS is what it tells about your personality

Non-verbal cues like one’s body language, micro-expressions, etc often play a huge role in understanding hidden personality traits. Similarly, did you know that the choice of a person’s holiday destination can also reveal a lot about their personality type? Yes, you read that right! A research published in the Journal of Research in Personality claims that depending on whether a person likes beaches or mountains, a lot can be decoded about their personality. One may question, how? Read on to know more:
According to the research in the Journal of Research in Personality people who are extroverts prefer beaches over mountains, whereas those who are introverts are drawn more towards mountains. People often associate beaches with open spaces that are full of lively activities, which caters to one’s social and adventurous sides of the personality. On the contrary, mountains symbolise solitude, and self-introspection– which makes these places ideal for those who like being alone and peace. Now, isn’t this intriguing?
Apart from this, many people also believe that beaches and mountains also bring out different sides of our personality. For instance: People who like beaches are extroverted. This means that they are loud, they like being in other’s company, they are go-getters, and they are carefree and like living in the moment. Whereas, people who prefer mountains over beaches are introverted which means that they like being in their own company, are deep thinkers, and like being busy with their hobbies instead of interacting with others.
And if you like both beaches and mountains equally, it means that you are one of the few rare people who have a highly adaptable personality. While you like socialising with people, you also value your ‘me time’ and peace at times.
