One of India’s richest person, Gautam Adani and his family visited the sacred Mahakumbh Mela 2025 today (January 21). Gautam Adani, the Chairman of the Adani Group, was accompanied by his wife Priti Adani, and sons Karan Adani and Jeet Adani to offers their prayers at the holy Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. For the unversed, it is at this point where the Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers meet.
Adani also interacted with the media at the event. When asked about his youngest son Jeet Adani’s upcoming wedding this year, Gautam Adani revealed that his son will tie the knot with his fiance Diva Shah on February 7, 2025. However, unlike other high-profile weddings, Jeet Adani’s wedding will be a private ceremony.
“We are like common people. Jeet had also come here to take Maa Ganga’s blessings today. Our activities are like common people. His marriage will will happen in a very simple and traditional way,” Adani told the media persons when asked about his son’s marriage.
Talking of high-profile weddings, India’s richest person Mukesh Ambani’s youngest son Anant Ambani’s wedding to Radhika Merchant in 2024 made the headlines not just in India but also internationally. Anant and Radhika had two pre-wedding celebrations– one in Jamnagar, Gujarat, and the other was a cruise party in Italy. Their wedding in Mumbai was a three-day event and all the festivities were attended by the who’s who of the business, tech, and political worlds from across the globe. No wonder then that the Ambani wedding would be remembered by many for years to come.
Considering that Gautam Adani is the second richest person in India and Asia, right after Mukesh Ambani, his son Jeet’s wedding is anticipated to be a huge affair. However, when asked about it, Adani said that Jeet and Diva’s wedding would be a family affair. “Will Jeet Adani’s wedding be a Mahakumbh of celebrities?”, a media person asked to which Adani replied, “Not at all. It will be a very simple, traditional, and a family affair.” This put to rest about the rumours about the wedding having public celebrity appearances, and high-profile guests.

Apart from visiting the Triveni Sangam, Gautam Adani also participated in the auspicious Maha Prasad Seva and distribution of religious books at Mahakumbh.
