Coldplay India Tour: Man looks for plus one for concert date, netizen says ‘Fix me with your tickets’

Coldplay India Tour 2024: Coldplay is coming to India, and everyone wants a taste of ‘Paradise’. Ever since tickets for the British rock band’s Music Of The Sphere concerts in Mumbai – slated to take place in January – went live, their Indian fans have strained every nerve to secure the seats somehow. After the two sold-out shows, fans have no choice but to go for resale purchase, despite the soaring prices. Amidst the nationwide frenzy over tickets, a new ‘concert date’ phenomenon has taken over the internet. A few users have come forward to offer tickets for free in exchange for a good company.

One user, who went by the handle sharma.adityaaa_, claimed on Threads that he has got two tickets for the highly-anticipated concert and would love to take someone out on a date, asserting that purchasing is not an option.

His post read, “Anyone’s up for a concert date?
Not kidding! So please connect only if you’re interested 🤍
Also please don’t ask about prices as I’m not selling.”

It didn’t take people long to rally in the comment section to grab what felt like an offer they couldn’t refuse.

One user wrote, “I volunteer,” while many made their presence available with “I’m in” comments.

In a similar instance, another user, who went by the handle ‘Pratham-med’, mentioned that he had two tickets left for the concert on January 19 and was looking for a plus one taker. The internet user, who claimed to be a solo traveller from Chandigarh, further mentioned that tickets would be available at the original prices. His post also ignited a flurry of reactions from Coldplay fanatics as many netizens stormed the comment section with ‘I’m interested’ notes.

Are concerts the new places to find the significant other or is it just another internet fad that people are falling prey for?
