Popular restaurant chain found serving leftover food, had extremely unhygienic kitchen – Times of India


Eating out at a restaurant is a leisure activity that people often enjoy with a set of expectations that include good food, soothing ambience and hygiene. But, what if you get to know that you are being served leftovers from others at a hefty price? Well, this just happened at a restaurant in Hyderabad. Scroll down to find out the details.
As per a viral video doing rounds on social media by the handle @foodsafetywar, Hyderabad branch of the restaurant ‘Amritsar Haveli.’ It can be seen that the restaurant has been caught following unhygienic practices.

As per the video, the restaurant is reusing leftover onions and chutney from one table to another, raising serious concerns over food safety and hygiene. The footage begins with a glimpse of the restaurant’s washing area, where a waterlogged space is shown with a staff member washing dishes. The video also shows the unhygienic condition of the area before confronting restaurant staff about the alleged reuse of leftover food items.
In the video, the man is heard questioning a waiter about why leftover onions and chutneys were being mixed with unused portions. The waiter replies, “Yeh onion use kiya hai, dusre table par nahi jaayega” (These onions have been used and won’t go to another table). Later, when the man approached the restaurant manager, he admits that vinegar onions are indeed reused.

When the content creator expresses his anger and frustration at the contradictory statements, remarking, “Aapka khud ka version bhi badal diya” (You’ve changed your own version). He further demands to see the dustbin where leftover onions are supposedly being discarded, adding to the tense exchange.
The viral video caption reads, “Dining out, or dining in a health hazard? At the Hyderabad branch of ‘Amritsar Haveli,’ corners are being cut in ways that no one should tolerate: reusing chutneys and onions from one table to another and a washing area in horrific condition. Is this the standard of dining we deserve? If they won’t change, we need to demand it. Join the movement for safer, cleaner restaurants!”
